Art is about communication, expression and interpretation. Art often addresses things everyone thinks about, but not everyone wants to talk about.

My work is driven by the need to expose the truth and to express the strong feelings I have about the gap between the real and the ideal.

As a society we can become obsessed with the fault and frailties of others overlooking our own shortcomings. We fail to apply the standards to ourselves, that we insist others adhere to. As an artist, I believe it is important to address these faults. Faults, which over time become a part of our personal belief system.

Color is the metaphor I use to express my opinions and feelings about intolerance and hypocrisy. This includes the art world, educational and religious institutions and racial divisions within and without. When separated black and white are neutral colors. Separately they complement every other color.
